What the Hell Should I Post
As I think about what to post for this blog, I've been very confused. Should I write that or this? This idea seems too generic, that idea seems too preachy. Thoughts like these are clouding my mind till I can't type a single word anymore. But as soon as I close that part and move on to writing in a journal, I don't seem to have an issue. The problem is not the writing itself, but me putting too high of a bar.
I thought a lot and read a little, and here are few thoughts/reminders I wrote in my journal in no order:
- Enjoy writing.
- Write everyday.
- Write when you feel like it.
- Write even when you don’t feel like it.
- Write about what you like, not what you think you should like.
- Share things.
- Share what you love.
- Share what you do.
- Share what you see.
- Share what you read.
- Lower the bar for what you’re allowed to share.
- Don’t take it too seriously.
- It’s never going to be perfect.
- Read. Write. Think.
- Talk about things if you have something to say.
- Write about things to see if you have something to say.
- It's going to be bad until it gets good.
- Write a lot till you get good at writing.
- Put yourself out there, and take risks.
- Nobody cares.
- And never make a chore out of it, or you won't do it.
